    Threads began pulling out after wearing it once to the grocery store. Contacted Sitka gear with photos and they told me it was pilling and to get a pilling shaver. Terrible customer service and riding on the back of an Alaska name when they have nothing to do with Alaska. Overpriced product that isn’t rugged enough to endure a trip to the store without being irreversibly damaged.

    This would get five stars, easily, if only; the integrated hood wasn't so tight when fully zipped up. Whether I am using the face mask, or with the mask behind my neck, the hood doesn't provide adequate space for someone of my size: XL tall & 6'3" 220 lbs, and wears x-large sized hats. BTW, wearing a hat over the hood, rather than under the hood, isn't a problem for the material being quite thin. The problem; is it is a bit tight under my chin when fully zipped. So, for comfort, I must leave the chest zipper at the neckline when using the integrated hood. I phoned Sitka Gear and asked "if I returned this and got the XXL (one size larger), would the opening of the hood be larger than that of the XL...so the zipper doesn't feel so tight?" They responded "it should be a bit larger." Leaving me unsure on whether or not to return this for a size swap...obviously.

    One of my favorite pieces, worn in several hunts & multiple days hunting & camping. Wear it when it’s hot/warm obviously, but also over a base when it gets cold. Blows my mind how much this light piece adds to warmth, versatility, & regulation of temp. Pair with a heavier hoody, a GoreTex shell (DWJ,) & I’m pretty golden most of the time. I’ll add a vest if it’s getting to teens/low 20 but probably not if I have the waders on.
    I’m between a XL & XXL in most shirts, really depends on manufacturer. Chart recommended XL based on millions of reviews, so based on 1 review, trust me? I’m really glad I ignored them & ordered XXL. It fits perfect, but I really wanted it to be a little bit big.

I would have preferred some extra room but I'll give it a chance. Feels like it would work great in all weather. When cold, use as mid layer. Hot, use as outer. Color is great, elevated ii. Very thin but it's what I wanted. Just a light camo I can wear in any weather. Durability remains to be seen... If anything rips, I'll update. If I bought again, I may go one size up.

    This is my second core lightweight, but the first one in Sitka's non camo colors. I was wearing my sub alpine shirt so often, I needed a second (and a third) This hot weather shirt is superior to other high end brand name camo for 3 reasons. First, the waffle knit is exceptionally breathable. This is not just another nylon light weigh production shirt. (Hulk, Kuiu) It is a performance shirt with performance fabric that never sticks to your skin. Second, the zipper. I can't for the life of me figure out why other camo makers won't put a zipper on their "hot weather camo." (Kuiu) You can dump significant heat from using the feature. Any weight added by the zipper is well spent. Last, the hood. As an early season bow hunter, you need a hoodie that does not change your anchor point and spoil the shot. Sitka's shirt is light enough to feel the anchor through and if you want, you can pull that side of the hoodie back to your ear so you have face contact.

    I bought this for trip to Iceland. It was great for layering either over top or underneath layers. I love the built in piece that can either cover your face or go around neck. It’s often very windy in Iceland so I would put up on my face to protect it from the wind. Definitely a piece I’ll wear often when camping.

    Usually a big proponent of this brand, however… I would go one size up due to the sleeve length. I’m a 16.5-35 shirt and the sleeves were just a bit short for me while trying to maintain full coverage for turkey season. I also found myself needing an extra face mask due to the fact that the included hoody seemed to skimp on material as well.

    Thankfully they have the thumb loop to keep the sleeve down but it did pull (annoy) after a while because of the shorter sleeve. For what we pay in buying Sitka Gear, I wouldn’t expect them to cheap out on adding the appropriate amount of material.

I would expect a little more durability. 2.) After hiking around all day with a backpack, I began to notice the seams digging into my skin from my backpack's waist belt. I don't get this from other shirts I wear backpacking.

So far the clothes have not shrunk or faded in the wash still good as new. Also they are cool to hunt in during Florida bow season when it’s still 90 degrees out.

The hood with the integrated face mask is going to be perfect for turkey hunting and bow hunting in the fall. The fit was fairly loose, I ordered the 3X, and it fit comfotably loose, but not billowy in the wind.

    I got this for my boyfriend for Christmas and I thought it was gonna be like a thicker pullover, but it was actually really light weight so I was not impressed at first but after my boyfriend tried it on he loved it instantly. It has a little face mask in it so he won’t have to put paint on and he said it was pretty warm for being so light weight. I will definitely be getting another one for myself.

    If you are in between such as L or XL order both and send back the one that doesn’t fit.
    Good product, Sitka should offer more size variety. A XL doesn’t fit every XL. I have a 54 inch chest but my arms arm not XL long.

    My boyfriend uses this as normal hunting gear here in Florida and he says it’s perfect. He recently went to Ohio and used it as a layer and said it worked well 😊 So far so good. Was worried his legs were gonna be too big for them as he’s built like a tree trunk but everything fit well. Thank you!

    This shirt is so comfortable. I’m hunting in 96 degree Florida weather and really helped me feel cool even though it’s a long sleeve. This is my second one cause after a few uses I feel it starts to smell a bit. Being extra cautious to not have my odor give me away. I have the whole esw system. I highly recommend it.
