   Fingertips will get cold. Have used these under my work gloves in 5 degree weather, and it helped. Also, if I'm using a metal cutting torch, I don't need to use the big uncomfortable cowhide gloves to protect my hands from getting burnt by flying sparks. For some reason if I wear these under my $3 work gloves, I just never get burnt by sparks. Just dont pick hot pieces up with them though. I rode in the cold weather with the window dont and my hands stayed warm. It's just after prolonged exposure to the cold will your fingertips become very cold. They're REALLY tight, and I have boney hands and I got a medium. Definitely size up. But I keep the extra tight ones because they fit under my work gloves just barely.

   Love these gloves, and Sitka Gear. Wore these for Elk hunt in New Mexico mid December, weather was low 20's high teens in the morning, and probably low 40's in the afternoon. Gloves held up great and kept my hands warm all day.
